For this weeks WONDER WOMEN WE KNOW we speak to @molly_whitehall.
Molly is the co founder of communication agency, WDW entertainment. A comms agency specialising in all things entertainment – film, TV, theatre and games.
1. Go to Happy Hour drink?
A Margarita.
2. What’s one item you have to take in every handbag?
it was Lucas Papaw, concealer and some lipstick but now days more likely hand sanitiser, gloves and a mask! My friend @stitch.and.flo makes the most beautiful and comfy masks.
3. What are your top self-care tips?
Take time to slow down, reflect, acknowledge and appreciate. Find joy in the small things. Always follow your gut. Listen and be kind. Communicate!
4. What are you reading, watching, listening to?
I am Film and TV obsessed. Luckily I work predominantly on Documentary Film and TV campaigns, so I get to watch a lot of them. Incredible recent documentaries I’ve watched over the last few months are – Becoming, Athlete A, Crip Camp, Hillary, Father Soldier Son and The Rise of The Murdoch Dynasty. I also loved @imaydestroyyou on BBC. Micheala Coel is a genius and it was totally unlike anything I had ever seen before. Amazing.
5. What advice would you give to your teenage self?
Don’t worry so much.
6. What advice would you give to other women trying to get into/working in your industry?
Believe in yourself and know your worth. It sounds cheesy but in the work place men often tend to over sell themselves and women massively undersell themselves. Fight through the self doubt and know your value! Listen, learn from those around you and be kind.
7. What drives you?
The amazing women I work alongside at @wdwent. I also feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by so many strong, kind, talented, successful and inspiring women in all of my friends.
8. What’s been your biggest challenge so far?
Starting a business is hard. Making it a success and continuing to grow it is even harder. It’s hard work and exhausting but also so rewarding. I have two amazing business partners, who I couldn’t do it without. I feel so lucky to have the best team and the most amazing clients.
9. Who inspires you?
My mum. She is the most selfless and kind person I know. She’s my hero. Although I wish I was a bit more like my dad in business – a hard negotiator, not an ounce of self-doubt and formidable!
10. What’s next for you?
Continue to grow @wdwent and work on the amazing projects we do. Continue to build a great team, where we all empower, support and build each other up.
11. What’s your favourite Stone & Mason product?
The Sydney in Watermelon Red or Bubblegum Pink. Brightens up any outfit.
12. How do you style your Stone & Mason?
I love how versatile they are and can be dressed up or down. You can transform your bag with a change of strap depending what you’re going for.
