Georgie works in healthcare, focusing on communication and global impacts of research. Her team recently made 10,000 breathing aids for the NHS and she is now supporting over 30 countries to make their own devices.

1. Go to Happy Hour drink?

Nothing can beat a cold G&T.

2. What’s one item you have to take in every handbag?

Lip balm (Thank you Stone & Mason for adding mini ones!) or headphones.

3. What are your top self-care tips?

Move your body and get some exercise. And don’t be afraid to say no sometimes.

4. What are you reading, watching, listening to?

Rereading Educated by @tara.westover, devouring watching Succession, listening to the 1619 podcast by @nytimes.

5. What advice would you give your teenage self?

Stop worrying about pleasing everyone! Prioritise kindness, work hard, surround yourself with interesting people – the rest will fall into place.

6. What advice would you give to other women trying to get into/working in your industry?

Be curious and stay a ‘perpetual student’ learning from everything around you.

7. What drives you?

Seeing the impact of research out in the real world an making a difference to real lives is a constant motivator, and a good reminder to keep pushing on. I’m fortunate enough to work with a very driven, brilliant team too which keep you wanting to work hard!
