@toryf
For this weeks WONDER WOMEN WE KNOW we speak to @toryf, Chief Stylist and founding team member of @freddiesflowers. Victoria oversees all style related, working alongside her great friend Freddie to design their beautiful arrangement
1. Go to Happy Hour drink?
Moscow Mule! I’m a vodka gal, I’ve tried switching to champagne, Aperol spritz and gin just make me grumpy so I always slink back to old habits.
2. What’s one item you have to take in every handbag?
A miniature Smythson double frame of my children when they were much younfer than the giant adults they are now.
3. What’s your next travel adventure?
In my “Imaginary World” it would have been LA in June, but in my real world it’s to the end of the garden.
4. What are you reading, watching, listening to?
I’m reading The Beekeeper of Aleppo by Christy Lefteri, good airport trash, I’m watching Vikings and am slightly obsessed with Travis Fimmel… again that Imaginary world of mine, and I’m listening to PlaylisterFM on Spotify.
5. What are your top self-care tips?
My self care tips would be always get some daily fresh air, preferably in the countryside, my dogs force me out even when I can’t face a frizz on the ahir and then the best high is a good workout at Form Studios in Notting Hill. Having had a back injury and being out of action for 18 months really showed me how valuable my body is and needs to be looked after, so grateful to be up and hitting the gym again.
6. What advice would you give to teenage you?
I would advise my teenage me to be braver about trying things and not be put off with the possibility of a closed door or two, really follow your dream, you’re young enough to have a go at anything.
7. What advice would you give to other women trying to get into/working in your industry?
I would probably set up an Instagram account and a blog and then work it with unlimited amounts of beautifully styled photos of flowers and flower knowledge and then contact every flower company and every events company you can find, really put yourself out there… tell everybody what you do!
8. What’s your favourite Stone & Mason product?
My favourite bag is the Bailey Cream Stamford Bag with gold hardware. I love all the options of carrying it, using all the straps even as a rucksack and because of all the internal pockets I can always find what I’m looking for… genius! I also pinch my daughters Sydney Margarita when I visit her in LA, and I want all the earrings!
9. How do you style your Stone & Mason?
I can take my bag from day to night so easily, so no need to empty it, make sure you have a Card Wallet to match and then jeans, leather jacket and adidas during the day as a rucksack and a pretty dress from Valle and Vik in the evening with a shoulder strap.
